High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Sheet. This sheet can be heat formed, shaped, and welded to fabricate ducts, hoods, and much more. The material cannot be cemented, but it is easily welded with a plastic welder. It can be cut with a carbide-tipped saw blade and drilled with regular metal bits. Translucent white.
HDPE Overview. Interstate Plastics is proud to carry High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), a machinable thermoplastic known for its high strength-to-density ratio, long-term durability and light weight. HDPE's toughness and flexibility make it one of the most commonly used plastics in the United States today and a popular choice for cutting boards.

Also known as pipe-grade HDPE, these sheets are about four times more impact resistant than standard HDPE and hold up outdoors, and in wet environments. Multipurpose Plastic Selector Packs Packs include one 2” square of ABS, Delrin® acetal, LDPE, HDPE, UHMW, nylon, cast nylon, polyester, polystyrene, Rexolite polystyrene, and Noryl PPO.
Trustpilot. HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) has a continuous use temperature range of -50° F (-46° C) to 180° F (82° C). It is a standard material, and offers high impact strength, high chemical resistance, and very low water absorption. HDPE offers strength and rigidity for many applications requiring basic engineering plastic performance.

Extend your tape measure several inches to find the 1 and 2 inch markers. In between the inch markers you’ll find 16 equally spaced tick marks. Measure by counting the increments beyond the nearest inch. As the increments decrease, so does the length of the mark. For example, 1/2" has a bigger mark than 1/4" which has a bigger mark than 1/8".

From HDPE, or high-density polyethylene (HDPE) sheets, to high-molecular-weight polyethylene rolls, we have the material and size of plastic you need, including: HDPE Poly Sheeting; UHMW; Acrylic (Clear) Polycarbonate (Clear) Corrugated HDPE (Black or White) Black Repro HDPE Sheeting; HMWPE Roll
gauge (roll Fed) & cut sheet thermoforming. The most common applications are in thin gauge. It is very common for clamshell type containers & packaging blisters. In thin gauge applications it is typically a clear material with a thickness from .005” to .040” thick. It is a relatively tough material that forms easily.
Feb 20, 2020 · To cut directly in a thin sheet of acrylic or polycarbonate (up to 1 inch thick), pick up a simple utility knife and follow these steps. Use a paper clip to secure the paper to a larger working surface. Mark the required cutting line with a straight edge, then use a box cutter to cut the plastic sheet several times until a deep groove is formed.
Shop for high density polyethylene (HDPE) sheets and rods. HDPE grades include antimicrobial , cutting board material, orthotics and prosthetics, marineboard, pipe grade , playground board, multi-color engravable, and woodgrain. HDPE is available in FDA compliant and UV resistant formulations. Have HDPE cut and machined into fabricated parts
HDPE sheet is used for applications that require greater strength and stiffness than LDPE (low density polyethylene). It is easy to weld using thermoplastic welding equipment. Common applications include industrial cutting boards, chemical tanks, playground systems, and marine construction. Custom cuts and cut-to-size pieces.
